Wooden cooking spoon, oval 60 cm

This wooden spoon is made from local beech wood. As a hardwood, beech is particularly durable and well suited for kitchen items such as this mixing spoon. The spoon has an oval ladle, also known as a bowl, and a round turned handle with a diameter of around 15 millimetres. The unusual length of this wooden spoon is particularly useful for stirring in large pots, field kitchens or goulash kettles. The terms spatula, stirrer, stirring spatula, stirring spade or stirring wood are then also used.
